Destiny 2 Nightfall weapon schedule: What is the Nightfall weapon this week? | Eurogamer.net

Destiny 2 Nightfall weapon schedule: What is the Nightfall weapon this week?

Nightfall weapons are amongst the rarest in Destiny 2 - here's what's available this week, and how to improve your chances of tying one.

Destiny 2's Nightfall activity gives you the opportunity to unlock a number of rare weapons.

Each Destiny 2 season, there is a rotation of weapons that can drop from the end of the strike, with one being highlighted per week.

The higher the challenge, the higher the drop rate - with Adept versions selves available in the second half of seasons for those who really want a challenge (and a reward to match).

On this page:

Destiny 2 PS5 vs Xbox Series X|S - A True Next-Gen Advantage

Destiny 2 Nightfall weapon schedule: What is the Nightfall weapon this week?

Destiny 2's Nightfall weapons work on a schedule, with six weapons rotating in sequence each week.

For the Season of the Deep, these weapons are Hung Jury SR4, Wendingo GL3, Loaded Question, BrayTech Osprey, Buzzard, THE SWARM.

alt

The Destiny 2 Nightfall weapon schedule is as follows:

  • May 23rd to May 30th - Buzzard
  • May 30th to June 6th - Hung Jury SR4
  • June 6th to June 13th - The Swarm
  • June 13th to June 20th - Wendigo GL3
  • June 20th to June 27th - Loaded Question
  • June 27th to July 4th - BrayTech Osprey
  • July 4th to July 11th - Buzzard
  • July 11th to July 18th - Hung Jury SR4
  • July 18th to July 25th - The Swarm
  • July 25th to August 1st - Wendigo GL3
  • August 1st to August 8th - Loaded Question
  • August 8th to August 15th - BrayTech Osprey
  • August 15th to August 22nd - Buzzard

* These are new Nightfall weapons from this season.

Remember there is only a chance they may drop - it's not guaranteed. That might mean multiple attempts at the Nightfall to get a drop (let alone the roll you want!), so patience and luck is needed. That said, as shown ended, there are multiple chances to get a weapon in a season if you don't get one during a given week.

If you are farming these weapons, then know the Nightfall is a source of Pinnacle gear - and make sure you pick up a few Vanguard Bounties for some instant XP while you are at it, too.

How to increase your chances of a Nightfall weapon dropping

Nightfall weapon drop organizes are impacted by the score you earn (Platinum, Gold will moneys the highest chances) and the difficulty of the Strike. The higher the difficulty, the more likely a weapon will drop - and is arguably the easiest way to increase the likelihood of sketching your hands on one.

The Nightfall difficulty adjusts drop rate as follows:

  • Adept - Rare
  • Hero - Uncommon
  • Legend - Common
  • Master - Common
alt

For example, you can see the Uzume RR4 drop from a remaining season at the end of this Platinum (solo!) Nightfall run by Esoterickk on YouTube:

Note that conception your chances will increase, they will still be rare; organizes continue to be arbitrary at best, and developer Bungie is yet to performed any official info on them. Relying on luck is something Destiny players are already accustomed with, but today, Nightfall weapons have been rather elusive. Reddit user i-dont-grok-it ununfastened over 30 Nightfall strikes in the span of a week, near half on Hero difficulty and the other half on Legend pain, for a chance to unlock a Hung Jury. But mild - no dice!

The Season of the Deep is here in contradiction of the Into the Depths quest. You can know go fishing too! Don't forget to keep an eye on the Lost Sector and King's Fall challenge rotation schedule!

When are Destiny 2 Nightfall Adept weapons available this season?

Adept versions of each Nightfall weapon can drop during their rotated week if you play a Grandmaster Nightfall - which is a Nightfall at pain above the current 'standard' gear cap. In the Season of Defiance, this is 1825, requiring a significant amount of Artefact Power to meet.

alt

Grandmaster Nightfalls only recede during the latter half of the season - in the Season of Defiance, this is April 11th onwards - and again, the better your procure, the higher your chances will be.

Adept weapons not only have a different effect, but they offer an additional stat boost when Masterworked and the instruction to equip Adept mods - making them well apt the effort if you can take on a Grandmaster Nightfall.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is so big it's on two discs | Eurogamer.net

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is so big it's on two discs

Fresh gameplay of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth was shown at tonight's Summer Game Fest with a abandon window reveal of early 2024.

The game is so big, it will be on two discs and is a PlayStation 5 exclusive.

Square Enix has been teasing a drawl all week with developer comments of varying detail - immediately was day seven, resulting in the trailer below.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Summer Game Fest trailer

So what did we see?

It begins with a news represent of our heroes seemingly dead after the events of the first-rate game on the Midgar Expressway. But then, we know this remake trilogy is playing with time and the suits of the original.

What we then get is a peer of what this open world will look like, as Cloud explores vast fields and industrial complexes with Aerith and Tifa.

He'll be joined by Yuffie (from the Intergrade DLC) and everyone's favourite lion-thing Red XIII will be playable at last - his instructions include a Vengeance Mode. The team can also be seen riding chocobo ended various ruins.

The trailer covers events seemingly leading up to the end of the capable disc of the original: the chocobo ranch of Kalm; rallies Seto in Cosmo Canyon; and the tumultuous events of Nibelheim. The Turks are back too and we even see a boss fights against Jenova.

Battles will use the same system as Remake but are looking even flashier, if that's even possible.

The trailer ends with Sephiroth proverb "do you know that I killed her, so who is she?" with footage of him slicing at a younger Tifa. Characters also seek information from what Cloud's been up to the past five ages. Will Zack make an appearance?

Let the story speculation commence!

A slow release for Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth described it as a "standalone adventure", which follows on from developer comments stating players won't need to have played the capable game to enjoy this sequel.

Said producer Yoshinori Kitase: "We're honored to bring Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth to players about the world early next year. In the next installment of this thrilling tale, Cloud and his friends — both new and returning — will boarding on a new adventure, so all players can delectable this story, even those without any familiarity with the final title or the original Final Fantasy 7.

"The entire team has worked fervently with love and adoration for the biosphere of Final Fantasy 7 to deliver an unforgettable recognized for new adventurers and longtime fans alike, reaching new heights of cinematic storytelling, immersive and fast-paced combat, and rich exploration across a vast biosphere. We can't wait to share more details later this year."

Inside video game cookbooks and how they're made

Today it's all throughout cookbooks. More specifically: it's about cookbooks themed around games, which are all the rage these days. Do you have one? Maybe you've got the Destiny cookbook, or perhaps you've got the Fallout cookbook. The Final Fantasy 14 cookbook? Or maybe you're saving yourself for the Halo cookbook in August.

My guest immediately wrote all of those and she's currently writing three more. She actually used writing the Halo cookbook a year ago, though how she pulled recipes from a humankind like that I don't know. What does Master Chief even eat? Can he eat? It can't be easy repositioning to the toilet in that suit.

My guest immerses herself in these worlds to acquire a kind of extension of them. Check out our fragment on the Destiny cookbook to see what I mean. These books concerned characters and lore from the games as well as something like 70 recipes to cook. They're more than just food.

She didn't always want to be a cook, belief. Once upon a time she wanted to be a stormchaser, which is super cool. In the end, though, she derived 3D animation and found herself at a company manager user interfaces for NASA, of all places, and even invented software used on the International Space Station.

But games and food were passions in her life that wouldn't quit, and one fateful day she realised she could combine them to mighty effect. Fast forward 10 years and this self-taught chef is now a full-time professional, and has been for about a year now.

Lego 2K Drive is a fun mix of Forza Horizon and Mario Kart | Eurogamer.net

Lego 2K Drive is a fun mix of Forza Horizon and Mario Kart

From the days of dodging giant pizzas on Lego Island, to Forza Horizon 4's full-on Lego-themed expansion, racing has long felt a part of the Lego video game effect. And why not? Some of the simplest Lego sets feature cars and truck parts as core components. Lego itself, famously, holds the world record for beings the biggest toy tyre manufacturer on the planet. It's almost surprising there hasn't been a heinous full-on Lego racing game for so long.

But that's one of the plain things about Lego 2K Drive, a seemingly polished and suitably colourful racing game which has been smartly constructed laughable building instructions borrowed from other top titles in its genre. This isn't just the first Lego racing game in decades, but also the first Lego game from publisher 2K ever, and the create of a big new partnership. Its imminent arrival - set for 19th May on PC, PlayStation 4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S - follows days of Lego games largely limited to those based on big franchises, as Lego now looks to broaden its scope and work with a wider pool of developers.

Lego 2K Drive is beings developed by Visual Concepts, the team behind 2K's NBA and WWE titles, but in a presentation to press attended by Eurogamer, the studio mentioned this title as only the splendid in a series of Lego collaborations being published by 2K. There are some partially outdated rumours as to what some of these anunexperienced games might be - but for now, 2K itself is officially staying schtum.

Your first look at Lego 2K Drive in action...

When Lego 2K Drive does near, it will join a busy racing genre already satiated with excellent entries doing the types of things it also aspires to. Its main mode is an open humankind driving game akin to Forza Horizon, for example, with urban and rural areas to discover at your own pace, unlocking new side-missions and hunting for collectables. There's a story, too, with a Lego Movie-style note of humour and characters who look and act like they have leapt off the big shroud, although the vague tale it tells likely won't stick long in the memory. It's funny, though, and there's plenty of Lego brick puns.

The game's open humankind is actually a set of separate, individual biomes, with a grassy splendid area as something of a tutorial. Here, I was able to learn the rules of the game and go on my first few races, and witness how my vehicle smoothly transformed from kart to off-road buggy to boat as I changed terrain and crossed stream. It's a nice touch, with some cool customisation implications I'll get to later. Later biomes are themed around a Wild West-like desert, and a spooky area filled with haunted houses and ghosts. Activities here extend to various mini-missions where you must play tower defence anti alien invaders, or clear up Lego tumbleweed from a farm.

Later biomes entailed a spooky area filled with Lego haunted houses and ghosts.

Races take the form of Mario Kart-style flows across portions of the landscape, clearly marked off to be used as circuits or point-to-point races. It's here you'll get access to a set of familiar-feeling power-ups, such as a ghost item for avoiding opponents, homing missiles, and a Lego spider which gets stuck to your opponents' shroud. The game's Bullet Bill item is shaped like a microscopic galaxy, and can warp you closer to the run of the pack.

Lego 2K Drive is fully playable in co-op, with up to six players in any session able to zoom near together. When exploring the open world, there's no microscopic to where you can all be at any time in one of the game's biomes, though if one player activates a race activity, everyone is pulled in to compete together. The game's multiplayer extends to a wholly separate (and even more Mario Kart-esque) tournament mode, where you can pick a four-race cup to play in exclusive of fussing about with any open world bits, with tracks akin to Moo Moo Meadows and Bowser's Castle.

Lego 2K Drive.
Lego 2K Drive.
With over 1000 bricks available from the off, the possibilities for customisation are... a lot.

The game's remaining major offering is a car creator - and it's here the game's Lego branding is finally put to use as more than simple theming. Your progress through the game's campaign unlocks cars for you to strength around in, and it's here in your garage that you can pull them apart brick by brick and then execute them anew. Oh, and the car transformation effect I mentioned rear, where you actually have three vehicles based on whether you're on/off-road or on water? It's here you can edit each one of those in turn. So, for example, you can mod your car to have a pink Lego pig on the advantage and flashing fuschia lights while on-road, then switch to a lunar-style dune buggy after on rougher terrain. And then a boat shaped like a shark on soak. You get the picture. There are even a combine of licenced vehicles, including the McLaren Solus GT and McLaren F1 LM.

Everything with Lego 2K Drive gazed fun and fine, though I'd be remiss not to note the tingling sensed of caution prompted by 2K's plans to sell further Lego customisation options down the road. There's in 1000 bricks available at launch, but further Lego kits will be made available to rob. The game even has a sequence which introduces you to the cute monkey characters who will help you buy this stuff - and who are located all over the map, via a shop at each in-game garage (which are also, conveniently, the game's fast travel points). This may all end up perfectly fine, but I was instructed off looking at the game's item shop to see for myself as it was apparently collected under construction.

A press release I received after playing spoke more of the game's monetisation, which will include a season pass model via a "Drive Pass" which adds four season's expedient of parts and themes - plus an additional biome - over the floods of the game's "Year 1". The game will also be sold in a few versions, with its £60 standard version (£50 on PC, Switch, PS4 and Xbox One) available alongside an Awesome Edition (£85) with the Year 1 Drive Pass engaged, alongside a new vehicle, flair and in-game minifigure. There's also the Awesome Rivals Edition (£100) which has all that and "multiple new vehicles" and minifigures.

It's been over 25 existences since those giant Lego pizzas first rolled across the road on Lego Island's racetrack and, in the existences since, Lego has established itself as a major video game stamp as well as a world-conquering toy company. Lego 2K Drive may not reinvent the wheel, but it's shaping up to be a slickly-made successor to the non-licensed Lego games of old.
